These Knicks have had bad stretches before, so don’t panic at 0-3 — yet

Maybe, by the time the weather turns warm again, this will be a source of great humor, a reminder of blind basketball justice in a time of Eastern Conference parity.
You’ll recall that 2-9 stretch last January, 11 games when the very notion of the Knicks as legit championship timber seemed both fanciful and farcical.
Yeah. By June, you could laugh about all of that. It is, as always, a very, very long season.
But there’s really nothing funny about this right now. Basic decorum kept the boos away from Madison Square Garden again Sunday night as the Magic roared back from a 10-point fourth-quarter deficit to ransack the Knicks 111-102 and drop them to 0-3 on the season, 0-2 at home.
