Popular female podcasters break ‘Blue Dot Fever’ in surprising sell out of Madison Square Garden
Blue Dot Fever may have spoiled the touring prospects of music acts from the Pussycat Dolls to Post Malone, Zayn Malik and Meghan Trainor. But who would have thought that a pair of podcasters would sell out multiple Madison Garden shows in less than an hour?
That’s exactly what happened last week when Giggly Squad’s Hannah Berner and Paige DeSorbo sold out three upcoming MSG shows that includes a live recording of the podcast on Feb. 18, 2027. The demand for the New York shows, part of a broader U.S. and European tour, was so high that they added a fourth.
Giggly Squad marks the first female-hosted podcast to do a live recording at the famed venue, home of the New York Knicks and Rangers. Other pods that have hit MSG include “Kill Tony Live” (Tony Hinchcliffe and Brian Redban), “The Basement Yard” (Joe Santagato and Frank Alvarez) and “The Roommates Show” (Jalen Brunson, Josh Hart and Matt Hillman). Knicks players Brunson and Hart are pretty familiar with the venue, naturally!
We asked WME’s Andrew Russell, who was part of the team that scored Giggly Squad a $160 million multiyear deal with SiriusXM last month, to explain the surprise MSG feat. “Hannah and Paige have built an incredible connection and community with their fans,” Russell told Page Six Hollywood. “We saw that in real time when they sold out the world’s most famous arena.”
