Austin Reaves is shooting the lights out — and making NBA history along the way

Austin Reaves is turning heads.

He has the best true shooting percentage by a guard in NBA history at 63.2%, ahead of Steph Curry who’s in second place (62.6%).

Through the first three games of this season, Reaves has a stunning true shooting percentage of 82%.

He’s averaging career-highs in points (26.7), field goal percentage (63.9%), 3-point percentage (61.5%) and assists (6.3).

Reaves signed a four-year, $180 million deal with the Lakers this offseason, the richest contract in NBA history for a player who went undrafted.

So far, Reaves is more than living up to his deal.

He has helped the Lakers jump to a 3-0 start and is playing like an All-Star.

Said Lakers coach JJ Redick: “AR so far in these three games has just been Mr. Consistency.”

Added Luka Doncic, who made it clear to Lakers’ brass that he wanted to play alongside Reaves this season: “Obviously his efficiency, it’s off the roof. And just to have him next to me, leading this team, it’s awesome.”
