Selma Blair apologizes for mid-flight meltdown that led to arrest: ‘I take this very seriously’
Selma Blair broke her social media silence Friday on her arrest for a in-flight meltdown earlier this month.
“Hi, it’s me. I know I’ve been quiet for a couple weeks, since Oct. 11,” the “Legally Blonde” actress said in an Instagram video. “You deserve to hear from me directly, and I’m sorry it’s taken this long.”
“There is a legal matter going on and my lawyers have asked me to not say anything about that day, and I’m listening to them. I take this very seriously,” she continued. “What I can tell you, though, is very simple and the truest thing I know about myself. Not one day ever have I intended to hurt or frighten anyone a day in my life.”

Blair then apologized to those she has “disappointed,” “hurt,” “frightened” and “alarmed.”
“I am so sorry,” she said, on the verge of getting emotional.
“And to the people that have written or called or sent wishes of love or caring, it has meant everything to me and my son, who is my world — as is Scout, who is also OK,” she added.
Blair said she is going to focus on “taking care of [her] health and [her] son” as well as those who support her “all with gratitude and love.”
This is a developing story…
