Raiders’ Maxx Crosby plans revealed as star makes trade stance clear after offseason drama

Maxx Crosby doesn’t want another trade away from the Raiders.

The star defensive end, who was dealt to the Ravens in March before Baltimore backed out of the deal after a failed physical, wants to remain with Las Vegas and “does not appear to be going anywhere,” according to ESPN.

“Maxx absolutely does not want to leave Las Vegas under any circumstances,” an anonymous source told the outlet. “His hope, though not in his full control, is that he remains a Raider for life.”

Things turned ugly for Crosby, who has spent his entire eight-year career with the Raiders, at the end of last season, when he was shut down due to a lingering knee injury — with Las Vegas also in contention for landing the No. 1 overall pick — and reportedly stormed out of the team’s facility.

He finished with 10 sacks last year and made the Pro Bowl for the fourth consecutive season, though through seven games in 2026, Crosby has collected just two sacks.

The Raiders emerged as one of the surprising stories to start the NFL season, winning three consecutive games to open the year before dropping four straight entering Sunday’s game against the Jets.

It led to questions about when they might pivot away from veteran Kirk Cousins — who leads the NFL with 16 touchdown passes — and turn to rookie Fernando Mendoza, who Las Vegas ended up selecting first overall when it ultimately finished with the league’s worst record.

That won’t happen for at least another week, with Cousins set to start against Gang Green.

ESPN reported that teams could still call the Raiders about Crosby, who landed two first-round picks from the Ravens in March before the deal was canceled, but those aren’t expected to “change the Raiders’ stance.”

A pair of defensive stars have already been traded around the league ahead of the Nov. 10 deadline, with All-Pro defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons going from the Titans to the Bears in exchange for a return package that featured two first-rounders and DeForest Buckner returning to the 49ers after getting dealt from the Colts.

The Raiders will face the 49ers, Seahawks, Broncos and Browns following Sunday’s game against the Jets before reaching the bye week.
