Yankees bench coach Brad Ausmus interviewing for Astros’ managerial job

The Yankees might be forced to make a change to their coaching staff.

Bench coach Brad Ausmus is interviewing for the Astros’ managerial job, The Post’s Jon Heyman reported.

Ausmus, who had two stints with the Astros during his 18-year catching career, has been on Aaron Boone’s Yankees staff since 2024.

Ausmus, 57, previously managed the Tigers and Angels — leading Detroit to the AL Central title in his first season in 2014.

The Astros fired manager Joe Espada after the team finished 81-81 and were swept out of the wild-card round by the White Sox.

The team axed GM Dana Brown during the season and replaced him with Randy Flores this week.

This is a developing story. Please check back for updates.
