Maxx Crosby reveals which Raiders star is ‘balling the f–k out’

At first, Maxx Crosby and Kirk Cousins were at each other’s throats.

Now, they’ve rekindled their friendship, and a big reason for it has been Cousins’ recent play as the Raiders are coming off a 38-33 victory against the Jets on Sunday and are viewed as playoff contenders — while controlling their own destiny with a 4-4 record.

Crosby appeared on his podcast, “The Rush,” on Tuesday and said Cousins has played a big part in their early success.

“Getting the win was amazing. Shoutout to the whole squad,” Crosby said. “Kirk is doing his thing. Balling the f–k out. Again.”

Sunday’s victory was headlined by Cousins’ best performance of the season, as the 15-year veteran scored four touchdowns.

Three of Cousins’ touchdowns were through the air, as he connected twice with tight end Brock Bowers and once with Jalen Nailor, which put them ahead 35-30 in the fourth quarter.

“There’s a lot of guys. I mean, Ashton [Jeanty] at the end. Mike Washington had a great game. Nailor caught a tuddy, Brock obviously. Mike [Mayer],” Crosby said. “A lot of guys. … first half was not our best ball at all on defense. Second half we played a lot better.”

His other touchdown was a 1-yard rushing touchdown in the third quarter, which was followed by his “wellness celebration,” leaving the Raiders fans who made the trip to the other side of the country erupting in cheers.

“I love playing in those big environments. Having those big-city vibes,” Crosby said. “… I don’t know what it is, there is a lot of Raiders fans in New York. I know that fans travel, but there is a lot of fans out there.”

“They showed up, they showed out. That s—t was dope.”

Before Sunday’s game, there was speculation earlier in the week the Raiders could bench Cousins in favor of No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza because the team was riding a four-game losing streak.

Cousins silenced the naysayers and even got some praise from the team’s minority owner, Tom Brady, who commented on a social media post of Cousins doing his “wellness check” dance and wrote, “Hit em with the wellness!!!!”

While he’s faced public pressure this season, Cousins is second in the NFL, behind Joe Burrow, for passing touchdowns (19).
