Inside Pamela Anderson’s new life of peaceful solitude in Canada
Pamela Anderson has gone full cottage-core in her native Canada, and she cashed in big to get there.
The “Baywatch” icon, 59, gave fans a fresh peek at her rambling Vancouver Island estate this week in a video that plays like a slow-living catalog shoot.
The clip opens with Anderson pulling a cozy sweater over her dress in the sunroom before stepping outside with her dog. She snips a handful of blooms in the yard, then settles in with a dog-eared favorite, “Amor and Psyche: The Psychic Development of the Feminine.”
“I’ve read this book so many times,” she told viewers.
Tucked between the pages was a small card bearing a reassuring message. “There’s nothing to worry about,” it read.
“True,” Anderson replied.
She also showed off her woven garden basket, stocked with pruning shears, her glasses and a jar of moisturizer from Sonsie, her vegan skincare brand.
“I love the garden after it’s rained,” she said, before capping the morning with a sunrise stroll down her dock.
Fans ate it up. “Dream life. Pam knows what’s up,” one commenter wrote.
“Pamela are you living in a Nora Ephron movie and please can you adopt me and take me here,” another wrote.
“I like to pretend this is the life Marilyn would have had if she got the chance to grow older 🥺🥲,” another commentator said.
The postcard-worthy spread sits in Ladysmith, British Columbia, the small coastal town where Anderson was born. Her grandparents bought the roughly 6-acre parcel in the 1950s, according to the Vancouver Sun, and Anderson bought it from them in the early ’90s.
She didn’t move back for good until 2019. Today the property holds a main house dubbed “The Roadhouse,” the cabin where she spent her childhood, rose and vegetable beds, a generous porch and a lengthy private pier.
Bankrolling the homecoming was a tidy Malibu payday. Anderson paid about $1.8 million for her beachfront lot in 2000 and spent roughly ten years building a house on it. She put the home on the market in March 2021 with Compass agent Tomer Fridman at $14.9 million and closed six months later at $11.8 million.
That’s a roughly $10 million spread on the land price alone, before construction costs.
The Canadian overhaul turned into must-watch TV. Her Hulu series “Pamela’s Garden of Eden” follows her exit from Hollywood and her mission to restore the family land her grandmother once held.
“When I came home, I thought, ‘I am going to rewrite my life and I’m going to start with this property.’ And it became like an art project. It really took my heart and soul,” she told Today.
The job came with a side of romance. The project was led by Vancouver designer Francesca Albertazzi, and one of the builders on the crew, Dan Hayhurst, ended up marrying Anderson. The pair wed on the property on Christmas Eve 2020, but they split little more than a year later, with Anderson filing for divorce in Canada.
These days she seems perfectly content flying solo.
“I was really happy to spend this year just on my own with my dogs and my vegetables and the trees and the ocean,” she said.
Anderson, who shares sons Brandon and Dylan with ex-husband Tommy Lee, has said island life was always the endgame.
“I feel more settled on my sustainable ranch on Vancouver Island with space to rescue more animals. It’s still beachfront. One foot away from the water — and I’m lost,” Anderson previously told The Post but added that she would miss her boys who still live in the States.
“I think I was really spoiled. When you grow up on the beach, you just expect it every morning. You expect these mornings,” she told the Vancouver Sun.
“I always knew that I would come back here. I always knew if I had this place, I would keep a little bit of my sanity and a little bit of my feet on the ground.”
