Former ESPN star Linda Cohn torches Brittany Mahomes, Kelly Stafford: ‘Are you kidding me?’

Linda Cohn has some advice for Brittany Mahomes.

The former ESPN personality ripped Patrick Mahomes’ wife for suggesting NFL referees have something against the Chiefs following Kansas City’s loss to the Broncos last Sunday.

“Are you kidding me, Brittany? Brittany, have you heard the conversations happening constantly outside Kansas City for the last few years? You may need to expand your group chat,” Cohn said on her self-titled podcast.

Brittany took aim at officials after a false-start penalty on Chiefs offensive tackle Jaylon Moore wiped out what would have been a go-ahead touchdown pass from Mahomes to Rashee Rice in the final seconds of Kansas City’s 28-24 defeat.

“You can’t tell me you call that on a game winning TD, oh wait yeah I can cause it’s us,” Brittany wrote on Instagram.

Cohn countered that fans outside Kansas City have spent years complaining about calls favoring the Chiefs.

“So you can understand why people hear ‘because it’s us’ and think, ‘Are we remembering the same football games, Brittany?’ You saw those,” Cohn said.

Brittany wasn’t the only NFL quarterback’s wife to draw Cohn’s ire.

Cohn also went at Kelly Stafford, who complained about the Rams’ 2026 schedule that leaves them with just 10 days between their Nov. 15 matchup against the Cardinals and a meeting with the Packers on the day before Thanksgiving.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford’s wife said even she needed a break despite never playing a snap in the NFL.

Cohn acknowledged the concerns but suggested Stafford’s complaints about her own exhaustion might not resonate with ordinary fans.

“Kelly makes the case for player recovery that’s a conversation worth having. Just understand why your own game day exhaustion might not generate the sympathy you expect,” Cohn said.

“Marriage to a quarterback doesn’t disqualify you from commentary, from having an opinion. It also doesn’t exempt your commentary from criticism,” she continued. “Kelly and Brittany are two people making public statements.”

Cohn offered both women a piece of advice.

“Sometimes before you hit post, the most useful question is, how is this going to sound to somebody whose life looks very, very different from my own? Three words, know the room.”
