House leader Hakeem Jeffries says Dems will refuse to work with Trump’s new chief of staff Stephen Miller

Hakeem Jeffries, the likely next Speaker of the House, vowed that Dems will not work with President Trump’s new chief of staff Stephen Miller — in the first big sign of friction after the party’s major upset in Tuesday’s midterms.

“Stephen Miller is the architect of Donald Trump’s violent mass deportation machine,” Jeffries said Sunday on ABC’s “This Week,” claiming Miller was responsible for the policies that led to the deaths of Americans, like Alex Preddy and Renee Nicole Good.

“It was an irresponsible decision, in my view,” Jeffries said, of Trump’s choice.

The Brooklyn Dem added that his party will “forcefully” push him back against what he called the administration’s extremism.

“There’s not going to be any opportunity, certainly, to work with Stephen Miller and what he represents,” he added.

Jeffries claimed that lawmakers have a “firewall”  to oppose the Trump administration because of the vote on Tuesday.
