Freddie Freeman’s wife Chelsea reveals scary emergency room visit

Freddie Freeman’s wife Chelsea spent part of this week in a hospital room after suffering a medical issue.

The Dodgers All-Star’s spouse shared with her Instagram followers late Thursday night that she needed help from doctors after sustaining “a little health scare.”

In her announcement, she included a photo of her in a hospital bed appearing to be hooked up to an IV.

Fortunately, she said in her social media post that she’s now on the mend.

Freddie and Chelsea Freeman share four children together.

“I’m home & doing okay,” the mother of four said. “So grateful for the amazing EMTs, nurses, doctors & my family who took such good care of me.”

Chelsea then implored her and Freddie’s fans to get checked out “if something feels off.”

It’s “always the right choice,” she said. “Taking it easy for a few days.”

Freddie and the Dodgers had the day off on Thursday, but they have been on the road since Monday. They completed a series against the Cubs in Chicago on Wednesday and will begin another three-game set with the Diamondbacks in Arizona beginning later Friday.

Freddie and Chelsea, who wed over a decade ago, are unfortunately no strangers to medical incidents. During the 2024 season, the 36-year-old first baseman and his wife had to briefly step away from the Dodgers while their son, Maximus, battled Guillain-Barré syndrome.

The toddler has since made a full recovery, and was actually seen throwing out a ceremonial first pitch with his brothers during Freddie’s bobblehead giveaway night at Dodger Stadium last month.
