Sydney posted a series of photos of the two embracing each other at the beach. The first photo showed them holding a picture of the sonogram, while holding a baby blue shirt, to reveal they’re having a boy.

In the second image, Ladd and Sydney were seen skipping down the beach while the shirt was resting against an empty basket with a set of flowers underneath.

The rest of the post went on to include pictures of the two of them kissing near the water, including one of Ladd holding his wife’s baby bump.

Ladd and Sydney got married in April 2025 and announced that they were expecting a child in August, when McConkey was in the early stages of training camp with the Los Angeles Chargers.

The two have been together since 2017, as high school sweethearts when they met at Murray High School in their hometown of Chatsworth, Georgia.

After high school, they both went on to attend the University of Georgia, where Sydney majored in education, while Ladd was a finance major.

During his College Football career, Ladd was a two-time National Champion with the Bulldogs in 2021 and 2022, earning himself an All-SEC selection in 2022 by logging 58 receptions for 762 yards and seven touchdowns.

The Chargers selected him with the No.34 overall pick of the 2024 NFL Draft, and he made an impact right away by being the team’s leading receiver with 1,149 yards, 82 receptions, and seven touchdowns.

During the Chargers’ rude awakening 26-14 Week 1 loss on Sunday, Ladd exited the game early due to a rib injury.

Since then, he’s been considered day-to-day but has yet to be on the practice field.

On Tuesday, the team gave Marquez Valdes-Scantling a private workout and later signed him to the practice squad.

If McConkey is unavailable to play this week, Valdes-Scantling will likely be elevated to the team’s active roster.
