Celeb stylist Micaela Erlanger swears these heels are actually ‘so comfortable’

“Comfy high heel” isn’t an oxymoron — just ask Micaela Erlanger.

As a celebrity stylist working with the likes of Meryl Streep and Lupita Nyong’o, she played a big role in two of the biggest press tours of the year, for “The Devil Wears Prada 2” and “The Odyssey.”

And to stay comfy through it all, she dressed her stars in shoes from Sole Bliss, a British footwear brand known for its superior support.

“My clients live in them,” Erlanger told Page Six Style at the FGI Night of Stars Gala in NYC last week, where she was honored with the Style Award.

“They’re so comfortable,” she added. “They’re so well-made. They’re honestly perfect evening-wear shoes.”

The fashion pro even recently teamed up with Sole Bliss on an event-ready Riviera Heel, which Streep wore in two colors while promoting the “Devil Wears Prada 2.” (But if you’re after something with a lower heel, the brand’s Carmen Pump just won the “best heels” category in The Post’s inaugural Made It Here Awards.)

Erlanger’s red carpet kit — which she jokes is a “Mary Poppins bag of tricks” — also includes stain remover and hairspray, the latter of which she spritzes on clients’ tights to prevent runs and tears.

“Honestly, I’m prepared for any fashion emergency,” she told us. “There’s always a second pair of shoes, and there’s always a second dress.”

While she doesn’t often have to use the backup dress, one of her most famous fashion moments to date — Lupita Nyong’o’s pale blue Prada from the 2014 Oscars — almost looked a whole lot different.

“[It]s a funny story,” she said. “We made two dresses for that occasion with Prada. There was another one we thought she was going to wear. When we tried on the blue one, we changed our minds — and that wound up being the dress that she won the Academy Award in.”

But after working with both Nyong’o and Streep for over a decade, Erlanger’s biggest styling secret weapon just might be their rapport.

“I think I have just learned so much from all of my clients, it’s a very collaborative process,” she said.

“Each client is so individual, and it’s a really in-depth process that requires trust, creativity and shared vision.”
