Meredith Marks regrets cosmetic procedure that caused ‘complications’

Meredith Marks will never get another thread lift.

The “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star spoke exclusively to Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” about her cosmetic procedures, revealing that her past thread lift caused “complications” during her recent facelift.

“I have done threads in the past, and that does create some complications when you go to do the facelift,” Marks, 54, told us. “It definitely does not help.”

A thread lift, otherwise known as a “lunchtime facelift,” is a “nonsurgical cosmetic procedure that lifts and tightens your skin for a younger look,” according to the Cleveland Clinic.

The procedure is known for its quickness and minimal downtime — and also happens to be a favorite of “RHOSLC” star Lisa Barlow, who spends about $3,500 on the Botox alternative.

However, Marks told us that she would rather get another facelift if she ever wanted threads again.

“The recovery was so easy from [the facelift], and threads recovery is not,” she said. “I had a splitting headache, and I didn’t feel great after the threads.”

As Marks told us at the 2026 “Virtual Reali-Tea” Awards on Oct. 6, she was only down for about “48 hours” following her facelift in February.

“I wasn’t running around and going crazy or anything,” Marks added. “But I deejayed about a week and a half, two weeks later. I think it was 12 days post-facelift.”

In our latest interview with Marks, she said she had been wanting to get a facelift for “years,” and that she had consulted “a lot of doctors” in “a lot of different cities” before deciding on Beverly Hills-based plastic surgeon, Dr. Garo Kassabian.

Marks gushed over Kassabian’s non-performative marketing techniques, and the results from other patients who have gone under his knife.

“I like that he really trained with the best of the best for everything he does,” Marks said. “At the end of the day, you want to know that you’re going to someone who has been taught well.”

Marks has been open about her cosmetic procedures, previously sharing that she had undergone three breast reductions due to a medical condition that causes her breast tissue to continuously grow.

However, one beauty routine she seemingly doesn’t want to address is why she’s been wearing a wig in recent months.

Marks said it’s been “weird” to hear the subtle digs her “RHOSLC” castmates have made about her hair in the show.

“They all have extensions,” Marks said. “Almost every Housewife has extensions or a wig or whatever. Why are we literally every episode hearing about it? It’s just so weird me.”

Marks believes it makes her co-stars “look bad” to constantly bring up her wig.

“It’s one thing when you make a little snarky remark … but when you are habitually insulting a woman’s appearance, that reflects on you,” Marks said. “I don’t care if they think they’re hurting my feelings or not. I don’t care what they think. They should worry about their own hair.”

“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo, with new episodes available to stream the next day on Peacock.
