‘She wouldn’t let go:’ Bride nearly borne aloft by giant balloons during windy wedding photo-op
Not the way you want to be swept off your feet on your wedding day.
Footage captured the dramatic moment that a balloon-toting bride seemingly almost went airborne during a wedding photoshoot gone awry.
The blushing-bride-to-be had been posing for nuptial snaps beside the picturesque Bosphorus Strait on October 26 in Istanbul, Turkey, Jam Press reported.
To complete the stunning effect, she was given a bouquet of behemoth beige balloons.
Unfortunately, powerful winds buffeted the inflatable decorations, making it difficult for the woman to stay on her feet.
All of a sudden, a gust caught the balloons dead-on, causing the aspiring wife to be dragged along towards the seawall and seemingly almost borne aloft.
Thankfully, a photographer managed to grab her before she crashed into a building.
Despite the subject nearly getting carried away, the bride finished the photoshoot without further incident.
Nonetheless, viewers were amused by her accidental balloon ride.
“She wouldn’t let go of those balloons for anything, hahaha,” said one.
Andrew compared the spectacle to the plot of the Pixar classic “Up.”
Unfortunately, wedding photo fiascos almost seem part and parcel of tying the knot.
In March, a bride said her $700,000 wedding was “ruined” after Botox injections left her looking like “a character out of Wallace and Gromit” in the photos.
Earlier this week, a couple’s dream marriage proposal was interrupted by a trio of “furries” in animal costumes.
In 2024, Nebraska newlyweds learned the meaning of “whirlwind romance” after getting photobombed by a funnel cloud, which ultimately made the shot way more dramatic.
“Somebody happened to say that there is a tornado behind us. And I thought, ‘Oh, my goodness,’” recalled wedding photographer Alyssa Wallace.
