Larsa Pippen reveals she was diagnosed with potentially life-threatening brain aneurysm
Larsa Pippen revealed she was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm.
The “Real Housewives of Miami” star shared the devastating health news on her Instagram Story Thursday, where she reposted a headline about Matt Damon revealing his wife, Luciana Barroso, suffered a brain aneurysm and underwent brain surgery in 2024.
“I get diagnosed with a brain aneurysm yesterday, and I wake up to this,” Pippen, 52, wrote.
“I’m sick,” she added.
Page Six reached out to Pippen’s rep for comment.
A brain aneurysm is a bulge or ballooning in a blood vessel in the brain that, in the rare case it ruptures, causes bleeding in the brain, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Ruptured aneurysms can quickly become life-threatening and require emergency treatment.
Pippen previously spoke out about her health last year, revealing that an allergic reaction was responsible for her changing appearance.
“I did have an allergic reaction to the PRP, which I didn’t even know you can have, so my face is a bit swollen, but it doesn’t look like that, so keep on hating guys,” she shared in a video message in August 2025.
PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is a treatment that “uses a patient’s own blood platelets to promote healing and tissue repair,” according to Penn Medicine.
Pippen was famously married for over 20 years to NBA legend Scottie Pippen, with whom she shares sons Scotty Jr., 26, Preston, 24, and Justin, 21, and daughter, Sophia, 17.
She dated Michael Jordan’s son, Marcus Jordan, 35, for over a year before the news of their split in February 2024.
An insider told Page Six at the time that the pair had “tension” in their relationship, which was allegedly “incited” by Michael, 63, “publicly denouncing it.”
Pippen moved on with another basketball player, Jeff Coby, 32, whom she started dating in early 2025.
That July, Pippen told People that the couple were discussing engagement rings.
“I feel like we’re on a really good path right now,” the mom of four said. “We get along with everything. He’s been asking me what shaped stones I like, so I’ve been giving him little hints.”
Pippen added, “We haven’t really talked about the size, but we just talked about [how] I like the brilliant cut or an oval. I feel like those are really cute.”
The Larsa Marie Jewelry founder also shared that Coby has “the best relationship” with her children.
“They play board games. They love to hang out. They talk basketball,” she said.
