A woman gasped as a kind stranger surprised her with a gesture which nearly brought her to tears. She couldn’t quite believe how thoughtful the man’s actions were

No one likes to spend their hours at the weekend gardening as it can get tiring. But sadly there are plenty of tasks to complete – from ensuring you keep foxes away and spraying one item to stop black spots from appearing.

We all know how exhausting gardening tasks can be, but one man was praised for his generosity where he helped a woman with her back garden makeover. It was so polite and selfless that the homeowner nearly broke down in tears as a video showed her gasp at the state of the transformation.

Landscaper Mark Marshall often shares his incredible garden makeovers with his 1.6 million followers on TikTok. One reveal nearly reduced the woman to tears when he unveiled his handiwork.

The video begins with a countdown from three, as the homeowner is guided into her garden with her eyes firmly shut. Seconds later, she opens them and gasps: “Omg.”

Next the clip unveils the breathtaking transformation, with “hero” Mark having carried out the entire job completely free of charge.

It shows the team getting stuck in by digging up the ground and removing the woman’s existing lawn, before turning their attention to the shed at the back of the property.

Further digging follows before a white membrane is laid across the entire garden, with gravel and cement subsequently put down. The team then sets about building brick borders around the space, alongside laying a concrete base.

A wooden structure is erected at the bottom of the garden before being given a sleek black paint finish. Planting is added to one section of the outdoor space, while fairy lights are strung up from the pergola, which was built entirely from scratch.

Finally, the last touches get underway. The turf is laid, batteries are fitted into the lighting, and the furniture is carefully arranged into position.

The final shot unveils a breathtaking garden space, complete with a gorgeous lawn and a lavish seating area that bears absolutely no resemblance to how it originally looked.

Since it was uploaded, the video garnered 94,000 likes and nearly 1,100 comments. One viewer remarked: “This is unbelievable.” While another added: “I love the stone, well done.”

A third commented: “The transformation is unbelievable! Well done guys! It took us ages to save up and have our garden revamped, cost us thousands, the bloke worked hard and did an OK job. Sadly within a few years, the flags are loose and all the points are breaking up, not good and becoming a bit of a trip hazard.”
