How Did Sincere Rhea Pronounce “Epitome” On ‘Love Island USA’?

Love Island USA is the epitome of binge worthy reality television. It has new episodes almost every; there’s continuous nail biting drama; and sometimes you get to watch the islanders say things that make you go huh?!

This season of Love Island USA has introduced new vocab words, helped fans brush up on their metaphors, and also questioned how certain words are pronounced. During last night’s (June 23) episode, islander Sincere Rhea was in the confessional talking about Casa Amor and how it was the “epitome of testing connections.”

It should be noted that this is not the first buzz word used on Love Island USA, let alone on this season. In fact, fellow islander Bryce Alakai used the phrase moral paragon just a couple episodes ago and fans were impressed. However, there is a stark difference in Bryce and Sincere’s vocabulary words, that fans just can’t ignore.

Did Sincere Rhea use the correct pronunciation of “epitome” on Love Island USA?

Epitome. A word meaning a perfect example of [something], and is often associated with words like embodiment and personification. So why are fans stuck on the word? The context in which Sincere used the word was not incorrect. However, it was the pronunciation of the word that had fans looking at Sincere a bit confused.

The word “epitome” is pronounced like “ih-PIT-uh-mee.” Unfortunately for Sincere, that is not what he said. Instead, with genuine confidence, he pronounced the word as”ep-ih-tohm.” Sincere has got a lot of flack throughout the season for his use of metaphors that teeter on the edge of absurdity. Not to mention his questionable treatment of Melanie Moreno, the girl he’s currently coupled up with. It is safe to say that his mistake has given fans another reason to be a bit wary of him.

Who are the current couples in Love Island USA Season 8, Episode 19?

Currently, the islanders of Love Island USA are at Casa Amor, which is the part of the series where the singles meet new bombshells and truly test their connections. Because of this, couples are up in the air and everyone getting to know everyone. Before they left for Casa, here were the couples:

COUPLES:
Melanie & Sincere
Kenzie & Corbin
Aniya & KC
Trinity & Bryce
Kayda & Zach

SINGLE:
Caleb
Jen

DUMPED:
Sean
Beatriz
Sol
Gabriel

The question is though, will these couples survive Casa or will Sunday (June 28) night’s recoupling? Or will the event be the epitome of disaster? Tune in to fine out!
