Collin Gosselin sends pointed message to mom Kate with savage post ahead of memoir release

Collin Gosselin savagely blurred his mom Kate Gosselin’s face in a pointed social media message ahead of the release of his highly anticipated memoir, “In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood.”

The 22-year-old took to his Instagram Stories Saturday to reshare The Post’s social media content about the book, with the headline, “Kate Gosselin ‘spiraling’ ahead of estranged son Collin’s bombshell memoir: ‘She knows it’s about to hit the fan.’”

The post included a photo of Kate, which Collin blurred out, and he attached a fan comment that read, “What’s done in darkness will always come to light.”

Collin also paired the post with Han Zimmer’s 2014 track “Day One,” which the musician composed for the Christopher Nolan sci-fi movie “Interstellar.”

A rep for Kate, 51, wasn’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.

Collin’s recent message comes after the Daily Mail reported that his famous mother, who lost sole custody of him in 2018, “had no idea” that he was planning to release a tell-all book about his childhood this year.

An insider told the outlet that the reality star hadn’t spoken to her son, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, since he was institutionalized as a kid.

“She didn’t expect any of this to ever come out. Now she’s spiraling because she knows it’s about to hit the fan,” the source shared, explaining Kate has alleged that Collin’s accusations are false despite him stating he has “the evidence to back everything up.”

The source claimed that Collin’s sextuplet siblings, Aaden, Joel, Alexis, Hannah and Leah, along with his twin sisters, Cara and Madelyn, 25, will also be shocked because they “really know the truth of what happened to him.”

Earlier this month, Collin released the cover of his memoir, which showed Kate covering his mouth when he was a child.

In the book, the author dives into the “never-before-told story of how [Collin] escaped and found his way back from the dark,” his publisher said in a statement.

“This is a reckoning with the dark side of fame: the systems, the entourage, and the institutions that allowed one boy to be erased.”

The memoir will remove the veil on “the shocking facade of his picture-perfect family” as Collin tells readers about “being held down, the basement cell where he was hidden for years and the cocktail of powerful antipsychotics forced on an 11-year-old boy.”

Collin rose to fame with his parents and siblings on the reality series “Jon & Kate Plus 8.” The show aired from 2007 up to its cancellation in 2017.

Jon, 49, and Kate tied the knot in 1999 and split in 2009. In 2018, Jon received sole custody of Collin.

Throughout the years, Collin has accused Kate of “child abuse and child exploitation,” which she has denied.

However, in 2023, his sister Madelyn accused Collin of “physical violence and hate speech” in an interview with Vice TV’s “Dark Side of the 2000s.”

Collin’s memoir, “In the Shadow of Eight: Surviving the Reality of My Childhood,” will be released on Oct. 13.
