Will Steve McBee Sr. Return To ‘The McBee Dynasty’ After He Gets Out Of Prison? We Asked Cole McBee!

It’s been a tumultuous time for the McBee family. Between looming financial stresses, the challenges of running their farm, and the family patriarch getting sent off to prison, there’s been no shortage of drama in the last couple of seasons of The McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys.
The Bravo show, now on its third season, follows the family through the trials and tribulations of running McBee Farm & Cattle Co. in rural Missouri. With Steve McBee Sr. gearing up to go to prison, the farm is left in the hands of his four sons, Steven McBee Jr., Jesse McBee, Cole McBee, and Brayden McBee.
Because of his legal turmoil, Steve stepped away from the show ahead of Season 2, leaving his sons, their significant others, and his employees to take the reins. But will we ever see him come back in a full-time capacity? Keep reading for everything we know!
Will Steve McBee Sr. return to McBee Dynasty?
Steve McBee Sr. took a step back from the family reality show in Season 2 and Season 3 to deal with his ongoing legal woes. But will he come back to the show once he serves his two-year prison sentence? His son, Cole McBee, seemed to think we’d see him in a larger capacity once he gets his issues squared away with the government (as we know, in addition to serving prison time, Steve was ordered to pay more than $4 million in restitution).
“We just got to get through everything going on,” Cole told DECIDER. “Obviously, we’re all filming at the same time. But for my dad, with how much is going on, it’s been nice for him to kind of step away and not have to worry about that.”
“I would say once all of this is finished up [he’ll come back to the show],” Cole said. “It ain’t over when he gets out. We’ve got to finish up everything with the government. Whenever that’s all finished up, I’d say once all the problems are fixed and we’re back to normal life, he’ll probably be back to it. But we’ve just got a lot of problems to fix first, so he’s going to focus on those once he gets out.”
When does Steve McBee Sr. get out of prison?
Steve McBee Sr. was sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty to crop insurance fraud. He surrendered on Dec. 1, 2025. While that would make his release date December 2027, it sounds like he might be getting out sooner. His eldest son, Steven McBee Jr., told Entertainment Tonight that they are looking at the “100-day countdown” until his release. Cole McBee also told DECIDER that “he gets out by the end of the year, hopefully.”

Is Steve McBee Sr. still dating Masha Petrova?
Steve McBee Sr.’s love life has caused quite a stir on The McBee Dynasty — even without him being on the show. Steve began dating Masha Petrova, the ex-best friend of his ex Galyna Saltkovska, in Season 2 of The McBee Dynasty, resulting in a lot of drama between the two women. Petrova returned this season, still as Steve’s girlfriend, but her turmoil with his ex-wife (and the mother of his sons) Kristi McBee threatens to push her out of the family even more. So, is Petrova still dating Steve?
“She is still with Cole’s dad from what we know,” Cole McBee’s fiancée Kacie Adkison told DECIDER. “But none of us have a personal relationship with her.”
