Houston TV weather gal goes scorched earth on bosses who canned her

Hell hath no fury like a weather gal scorned.

Brittany Begley, a meteorologist canned from Houston TV station KPRC 2, has ripped her bosses and trashed her colleagues — releasing a slew of screenshots of emails, internal chats and photos she says expose a nightmare workplace culture, reported CHRON.

“Destroyed for telling the truth … and now I’ve had enough of the TV industry,” she raged in a July 2 Instagram post.

During her rant, she whined she was punished for speaking out in an early June social media post against the unfair treatment, and company bosses had already decided to dump her even before she met with the human resources department.

“I was found guilty before I even walked into HR,” Begley, 44, who announced her departure on June 24, wrote. “My ‘investigation’ was at 12:30. but the box was at my desk at 9am. Three days suspension just for show.”

Alongside the post, Begley included a photo of an empty cardboard carton.

The peeved weather gal — who complained that she had never been given the recognition she deserved, including an Emmy — also published on social media what appeared to be an August 2025 email from station management outlining expectations for the weather team during major weather events, along with her other inter-office communications.

The meteorologists were expected to alter their schedules whenever major weather events occurred, and expected to come in early, stay late and work weekends or scheduled days off, Begley charged.

Begley claimed another employee who tried to create change on the weather team was “fired too,” and added, “Having your cake and eating it too — that’s the industry.”

The angry ex-employee complained about employees allegedly arriving late and unprepared while other staff members were expected to pick up their slack.

Brittany got a ton of attention after she took her rants public.

‘Management says they ‘take all issues seriously,”’ she wrote. ‘If they did, they would’ve fixed the chronic behavior that made two producers quit and left the rest working 6-day weeks.”

Begley also griped the higher-paid meteorologists got to take it easy while lower-rung workers were expected to put in long hours for a lot less take-home pay.

“To be fair, the weather team can be an emotional tornado,” Begley wrote on the post.

‘But when I asked why some meteorologists making $120k–$200k+ were so against picking up shifts or storm standby … while the rest of us worked longer hours, weekends, and shifted days off? At a much lower rate? Crickets.”

But, she insisted in a June 24 Instagram Post that she has had no regrets about speaking her mind.

“I’m not afraid of being disliked for saying what others won’t — especially when living paycheck to paycheck,” adding that she’s “truly grateful for everyone who has invested in me.”

She added: “I hope one day to have a bigger role in TV where I can advocate for people like me who started from the ground up.”
