They caught him red-handed.

A suspected burglar had his vehicle stolen while he robbed a business in a dose of instant karma so delicious even police couldn’t help but laugh as they slapped him in cuffs.

Jalen Godard, 29, called police to report his truck had been stolen from a Baltimore parking lot just minutes before they received a call about a burglary at a Verizon store on Baltimore National Pike.

Bodycam footage shared by the Howard County Police Department showed Godard approaching cops as they arrived at the scene.

“Man, someone stole my truck,” he told officers, claiming he had been at a nearby McDonald’s when someone drove off with his ride.

The footage then cuts to officers surveying the Verizon store where the alleged burglary took place — with an eagle-eyed investigator spotting blood on a broken window apparently used by the burglar to gain access.

As police asked Godard questions, his convoluted explanation wasn’t quite adding up, and officers noticed he was keeping his left hand tucked in the pocket of his sweatshirt as he spoke.

“All right, let me just see your hands real quick?” one officer asked.

Godard presented his right hand for inspection, and he was immediately asked to show his other hand as well.

When he withdrew it from his pocket, cops noticed it was covered in blood and immediately placed him under arrest.

“Were you at that Verizon store? Because you’ve got blood on your hand and blood on your glasses,” the arresting officer asked pointedly.

“I wasn’t at no Verizon store, sir,” Godard replied as the video shared by the police cuts to a clip of surveillance footage showing man wearing a black balaclava, black top and gray sweatpants — presumably Godard — scurrying through a Verizon store and grabbing armloads of items from shelves.

As police patted him down, they found additional blood on his shirt, but Godard continued to deny he was ever in the shop.

“Someone stole my truck, man,” he timidly insisted.

“I understand that. So the gig’s up. It’s whether you want to be honest about stuff or not,” the officer said, giving the suspect a chance to come clean.

“They stole my truck, oh my God” he repeated, his arms now cuffed behind his back.

“That’s kind of some karma right there, ain’t it?” the officer asked.

“Well I left the keys in–” Godard started saying before the officer laughed.

“Yeah, that’s some karma s–t right there, dude,” he said, laughing again before the footage cuts to Godard being placed in the back of a police SUV.

Godard was charged with burglary, theft and destruction of property, according to Fox 5 DC.

No details about the suspect who stole the alleged burglar’s truck were immediately available.
