Lorena Bobbitt’s secret lover revealed 33 years after she infamously severed her husband’s penis: ‘Guess who lives on my block’

It’s a hard lop life.
Lorena Bobbitt, the infamous wife who gruesomely chopped off her husband’s penis, is now living a quiet life in the suburbs with her long-term partner — more than three decades after she became a nationwide notoriety.
Bobbitt outrageously made headlines when, in the early hours of June 23, 1993, she used an 8-inch kitchen knife to sever the manhood of her sleeping husband John Wayne Bobbitt, 26, before fleeing their Manassas, Virginia home, in her car, still clutching the penis.
In a panic, the then 24-year-old tossed the nub out of the car window into a grass field near a 7-Eleven, before calling the police.
Now 56, she lives in a rented four-bedroom home worth $640,000 in Prince William County, around an hour south of Washington, DC, the Daily Mail reported.
Going by her birth name, Lorena Gallo, the Ecuadorian-born bunny boiler shares the house with her beau, Dave Bellinger, 56, the couple’s daughter Olivia, 21, and their dog, the outlet reported.
Pictures show the couple wearing their gym gear, walking their dog, and attending church together, every bit the unremarkable suburban couple.
Bellinger has a lengthy rap sheet, including 26 criminal violations for offenses including credit cart theft, fraud, embezzlement and more than a dozen traffic violations, according to the Daily Mail.
They met in community college in the late 1990s, several years after Gallo was found not guilty of malicious wounding by reason of temporary insanity in January 1994.
Neighbors say the couple remains pariahs in their leafy community, with some joking darkly that Bellinger is too afraid to tie the knot with the former Mrs. Bobbitt.
“It’s fun to talk about. You can always start a conversation by saying, ‘Guess who lives on my block?’” neighbor Amelia Stern told the outlet.
“The guys in the neighborhood have the most fun with it. I guess she [Gallo] seems nice enough, but let’s just say that I’m not worried about her seducing my husband. He’s afraid of her.”
A male neighbor, who asked not to be named, admitted to having misgivings about talking to Gallo.
“I don’t have anything against her, but I can’t see her without imagining her driving around town with a cut-off penis in her hand,” he said.
Gallo claimed at the time that she had snapped when she castrated her husband following years of physical, psychological and sexual abuse, including an alleged rape earlier that same evening.
Her husband was subsequently charged and later acquitted of marital sexual assault by a jury in late 1993.
Bobbitt’s penis was found by police in the field near the 7-Eleven and packed with ice, before remarkably being reattached following four hours of surgery.
“I thought I was going to die. Just imagine what it was like. Worst night of my life,” Bobbitt told the Daily Mail.
Astonishingly, the penis began functioning normally again within months, and Bobbitt would go on to appear in a series of porno flicks in the 1990s.
Bobbitt has long denied that he assaulted his ex-wife.
Meanwhile, Gallo has spent much of the past three decades advocating for domestic violence victims, launching her own nonprofit, The Lorena Gallo Foundation, in 2018.
