Graham Platner’s wife takes a beach trip one day after her accused rapist husband suspends Maine Senate campaign

She’s heading for calmer waters.

Amy Gertner, the wife of disgraced Maine Senate candidate Graham Platner, appeared beach-bound less than 24 hours after her husband announced he was suspending his campaign in a cringey video.

The Post spotted Gertner leaving her Sullivan, Maine, home Thursday morning, donning sunglasses and holding a yellow beach towel and large water bottle.

An unidentified man wearing a US Forest Service firefighter T-shirt was also seen placing a stand-up paddle board into a different vehicle and leaving at the same time as Gertner.

The lefty Senate candidate announced plans to drop out of the race Wednesday after being accused of rape by his ex-girlfriend – one of several sex scandals that plagued his campaign.

Platner blamed everyone but himself for his downfall in his whiny, 11-minute-long exit speech.

Here’s the latest on the bombshell sexual assault allegations which forced Graham Platner to drop out of Maine Senate race :

He called out “large forces,” “corporate media” and the “political establishment” for trying to force him out of the race.

“This was the last week to try to get me off of the ballot. And that’s why this is occurring,” Platner said of why a woman he previously dated, Jenny Racicot, told Politco on Monday that he drunkenly raped her at her Maine home in 2021.

Platner begged the public not to view his decision to withdraw from the race as “an admission of guilt.”

“We’re not doing it because of the allegations. We’re doing it because of the structures that are being taken away from us by those in power,” he said.

Social media users – from both sides of the political spectrum – trashed Platner’s long-winded rant as “arrogant,” “narcissistic” and “delusional.”

Gertner, who has been married to Platner since November 2023, stood by her husband last month after he was accused of exchanging sexual messages with at least six women on the chat app Kik, frequently used for hookups.

Platner’s profile image on Kik showed a bathroom mirror selfie with himself clad only in a towel.

“It makes me really angry, disappointed, and I find it really shameful that there’s a group of media outlets and people who are willing to spread gossip, instead of talking about real issues that Graham is running on, like healthcare and education and childcare,” Gertner said in a video posted after the New York Times and Wall Street Journal reported on Platner’s Kik habit.

“I admire the f–k out of him,” Gertner continued. “So when there are news articles about our marriage, it’s just extra s–ty.”

Gertner was paid nearly $30,000 by the Graham for Maine campaign during her husband’s ill-fated run for the Senate, according to Federal Election Commission disclosures.
