Joe Flacco mocked Shedeur Sanders for wearing visor: ‘Look like a f–king idiot’

Joe Flacco fired a veteran lesson at Shedeur Sanders, who didn’t want to hear it.

The Super Bowl-winning quarterback told Sanders that quarterback visors were impractical and could actually create issues during a light-hearted moment on the practice field while filming clips for the Netflix show “Quarterback,” which followed them during the 2025 season.

“You notice Shedeur don’t have just a clear visor. He’s got the mirror. Clear mirror,” Flacco said to Sanders, along with the team’s other quarterbacks, including Dillon Gabriel.

Flacco joked that he doesn’t understand why a quarterback would wear a visor.

“Take your f–king visor off. Who do you think you are?” Flacco said with a chuckle to Sanders.

“It’s just an eye shield,” Sanders replied.

“Yeah, but if you wear a visor, it’s for look; you think you look sweet,” Flacco rebutted to Sanders.

“It’s that era. I don’t want my kids to wear visors either. They all want visors. They’re just annoying; they’re gonna fog up.”

Sanders countered: “No, they’re not.”

“Yeah they are,” Flacco replied. “It’s all about look. When I was a kid I wanted a visor too. And then I was like, ‘The visor sucks.’”

Flacco added that he will let his kids wear the visor, but not if they play quarterback.

He said: “I’ll let them wear it, but I will tell them, ‘You’re a quarterback wearing a visor? You look like a f–king idiot.’”

The NCAA and NFL don’t allow anyone to wear colored visors during games, forcing players to wear only clear visors unless they have a specific medical exemption.

Jim McMahon is one of the only quarterbacks to wear a colored visor, while Michael Vick famously wore a clear visor.

He would switch to a clear visor for games.

Sanders is currently battling for a starting quarterback gig in Cleveland, along with the favorite, Deshaun Watson, and Gabriel.

Flacco, now the backup for the Cincinnati Bengals, is signed to play behind the oft-injured Joe Burrow.
