Mike Francesa taking show back to Jersey Shore for first time since WFAN exit

Welcome back to the Jersey Shore, Mike Francesa.
For the first time since leaving WFAN’s afternoon drive in 2019, the famous sports radio host is bringing a live version of his BetRivers show, “The Mike Francesa Podcast,” to Bar Anticipation in Lake Como, N.J.
Francesa, 72, said on his podcast Wednesday that his show will be live in Lake Como on Sept. 3 and air from 4-6 p.m.
An entire slate of BetRivers podcasts with WFAN ties is also expected to lead Francesa in.
Francesa added that former WFAN host and Cleveland sports media veteran personality Adam “the Bull” Gerstenhaber will join his BetRivers podcast from Bar A.
Sal Licata and John Jastremski will also be present with their newly launched show, “New York Sports Rush.”
“We have giveaways, we have contests, we got all kinds of stuff we’ll be announcing in the weeks to come,” Francesa said, via Awful Announcing. “We’re going to have music, we’re going to have guests… I promise you we’re going to bring some very familiar and very good guests.”
Francesa added that admission is free, but fans can also secure VIP tickets ahead of time on Bar A’s website.
Francesa and Chris Russo used to host “Mike and the Mad Dog” at Bar Anticipation every year. After Russo left WFAN for SiriusXM in 2008, Francesa kept hosting the annual show alone.
Francesa has hosted his own show on BetRivers since 2022, but was a vital piece of WFAN for multiple decades.

After his long run of hosting “Mike and the Mad Dog” and “Mike’s On,” he became a New York sports radio legend before retiring from the station for the third time in 2020.
