Why Jon Bon Jovi fled stage, cutting Madison Square Garden show short

Performin’ on a prayer.
Jon Bon Jovi abruptly ended his Madison Square Garden show Thursday night over a sinus infection.
The singer’s rep explained to Page Six that “Jon Bon Jovi spoke from stage and told fans he has been battling a sinus infection, which led to the show’s early ending.”
The statement continued, “As part of the Bon Jovi residency at Madison Square Garden, Jon has said numerous times that it has been a joy to return to live shows for the band.”
The spokesperson promised that “updated information will be available shortly.”
The rocker, notably, was in the middle of the eighth show in his nine-night MSG residency when he fled the stage post-“Livin’ on a Prayer.”
“I’m sorry, I’m hurt and you’re not getting the best of me,” he told attendees, an eyewitness shared with Page Six.
“Don’t throw away your ticket stubs, I’m gonna figure something out, OK?” the Grammy winner continued. “Just hold onto it, we’ll figure out how to reschedule.”
He has yet to address the cancellation further.
