A Florida man allegedly confessed to shooting his mother then setting her on fire because she “wanted to be cremated,” according to police.

George Beemer, 23, admitted he murdered his mom in cold blood after years of pent-up rage, claiming that she molested him, according to a police report obtained by WINK News.

Beemer initially called 911 from a Fort Myers home on Saturday and reported that he was suffering from chest pain — but as he was rushed to the hospital, officials received reports of a fire from the same residence.

Inside, firefighters discovered a “severely burned” woman dead in the kitchen, according to charging documents.

Beemer allegedly confessed to shooting his mother once before pouring gasoline around her body and lighting it, police said.

He said his mom, who wasn’t identified by cops, “wanted to be cremated” after she died.

Beemer told police he decided to kill his mother after she mistreated him for years and alleged she had molested him — allegations family friends say are bogus.

“There’s absolutely no way,” a friend who did not want to share her name told WINK. “No, no, absolutely never, never, no. I can’t buy it. I will never buy it. He’s using it as a defense mechanism to think that there’s any remote chance that this was justified.

“What kind of drugs was he on that day?” the friend said she immediately wondered after hearing the horrific news.

Beemer was charged with second-degree murder, first-degree arson and abuse of a dead body.

He is being held at the Lee County Jail, according to jail records.

“We were just completely shocked,” Beemer’s former classmate Madison Edwards said.

“I wasn’t surprised that he ended up in jail. I was just very surprised as to the reason why.”

Sheriff Carmine Marceno described it as “one of the most horrific acts of violence imaginable.”

“The cruelty in this case is beyond comprehension, and I am incredibly proud of the swift, coordinated response by our deputies, fire and EMS personnel and Major crimes detectives whose relentless work uncovered the truth and justice began without delay,” Marceno said in a statement.

“My prayers remain with the victim and loved ones as they begin to process this unimaginable tragedy. They deserve answers and we will continue working tirelessly to provide them,” he added.
