Chad Williams ID’d as Idaho In-N-Out gunman after two killed, 7 injured in mass shooting

Police have identified the suicidal gunman who killed two people and wounded seven others when he opened fire at an Idaho In-N-Out.
Chad Williams, 24, went on a deadly rifle-wielding rampage at the In-N-Out Burger in Twin Falls on Saturday afternoon before killing himself with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police Chief Matthew Hicks said at a press conference Sunday.
Two people, including a heroic armed citizen and off-duty state trooper, “actively engaged” the shooter “by returning gunfire towards him,” Hicks told reporters.

Williams acted alone, and his family has been fully cooperative in the investigation.
“Their hearts are also broken at this time,” Hicks said of Williams’s family.
A motive behind the shooting remains unknown.
