The long-instilled trait that has Jets’ Armand Membou making good on Aaron Glenn’s hunch

Aaron Glenn knew the moment Armand Membou walked out of his exit interview at the end of last season.

That’s when the Jets head coach knew he was going to get an even better season in 2026 out of his 22-year-old, 6-foot-4, 332-pound right tackle than the one he delivered in his rookie season.

“I just knew he was going to come back in the offseason program stone-faced and ready to go,’’ Glenn said Monday after the first full-padded Jets practice of training camp. “Coming back from this offseason program, he was on a mission. You could see it in his face. From the weight room to the field, everything was a business approach, and you can see that carrying into every practice. Doesn’t matter if it’s a walk-through or not, he’s operating at a professional level right now.’’

The truth is, Membou was operating at a professional level long before that exit interview with Glenn, the offseason or this training camp.
