Emmy Rossum Reveals If She’d Be Interested In A ‘Shameless’ Reboot: “I’ve Seen These Fan-Made Posters”

Shameless fans, listen up!
After the series ended its 11-season run in 2021, fans have unsurprisingly begged for some kind of continuation of the beloved Gallagher family. Well, Emmy Rossum just teased whether she would ever be interested in a reboot of the hit series.
On today’s episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, Mark Consuelos asked Rossum if she still keeps up with any of the show’s cast members. Guest co-host Carrie Coon quickly chimed in and asked, “Is there a text thread?”
Rossum responded, “Yeah, but, I try to see them if I’m out in LA.”
“I live in New York, so I see them less, but this summer there is going to be a boat with some dolphins for some of my kids and their kids, and I think it will be good,” she added.
Coon admired Rossum for making such plans with her former co-stars, teasing that she herself is “doing it wrong.”
“We’re not making plans like this. I’m doing it wrong. I’m gonna work on this,” Coon said. “That’s inspiring to me”

At this point, how could Rossum not be asked about a potential follow-up to Shameless? Though Rossum infamously left the series before its official conclusion, she was enthusiastic about the possibility of returning to the role of Fiona Gallagher.
“I’ve seen these kind of fan-made posters for Season 12, and you know, if the script is there, I’m here for it. I’m here for it,” Rossum proudly stated.
Rossum was on the talk show to promote her new Hulu series Furious, but we hope her next job will be a reunion with her Shameless family!
Live with Kelly and Mark airs on weekdays. Check out their website for your local listings. Shameless is streaming on Netflix.
