There will never be another Brock Lesnar, the most unique combat sports athlete we will ever see.

Lesnar, 49, is of a dying breed in pro wrestling — a legit ass-kicker with the resume to back it up, who so often shunned the spotlight. 

The Beast announced his retirement from not just WWE on Tuesday, but combat sports as a whole. If he keeps his word, as we should believe he will, we will never see Lesnar compete in the ring, Octagon or mat ever again after a career in all measures of success will be long to find a rival. 

Lesnar, who was born in North Dakota, was an NCAA Heavyweight wrestling champion at Minnesota, UFC Heavyweight champion, 10-time WWE world champion and IWGP Heavyweight champion. Outside of Kurt Angle with his Olympic gold medal and maybe Ronda Rousey with her Olympic judo bronze and UFC belt and fame, few can get within an arm’s length of what Lesnar accomplished.
