The Chiefs are continuing to bring the band back together.

Kansas City signed free agent defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah to a one-year contract on Tuesday after he previously helped the team win the Super Bowl in 2020.

Ogbah had spent the past six seasons in Florida, playing five seasons for the Dolphins and last year in Jacksonville.

It’s the second league minimum contract the Chiefs have signed with a former champion in recent months. Kansas City also signed defensive back L’Jarius Sneed to a league minimum contract after he helped the team win two Super Bowls in 2022 and 2023.

Ogbah signed a two-year $15 million deal with the Dolphins in 2020 after being on an expiring deal with the Chiefs the year prior.

After a strong two seasons, Ogbah re-signed with the Dolphins on a four-year $65 million contract with $32 million fully guaranteed.

Ogbah figures to play on the defensive line alongside Felix Anudike-Uzomah and on the opposite side of star George Karlaftis.

Long known as an impactful pass rusher, it would appear likely that Ogbah gets some work on third-down pass-rushing situations should he make the team.

Kansas City has one other player from those Super Bowl teams who is currently a free agent should they want to bring him in.

Tyreek Hill is still a free agent after suffering a debilitating leg injury last year with the Dolphins.

The Chiefs had previously shown interest in Hill, but it remains to be seen whether he will be able to play this season.
