‘The Traitors: New Blood’ Reveals Full Cast “Everyday Americans” Ahead of September Premiere on NBC
Trust no one.
On Wednesday, NBC officially revealed the full cast for The Traitors: New Blood series, which welcomes non-celebrity players to the Scottish Highlands for a game of trickery and treachery. Hosted by Alan Cumming, the reality competition follows 22 everyday Americans vying for a cash prize worth a life-changing sum. Unlike The Traitors, which wrapped its record-breaking fourth season earlier this year, New Blood will air on NBC first before making its way to Peacock.
The all-civilian season comes in the middle of a hiatus for the uber-popular mothership, which most recently welcomed names like Maura Higgins, Rob Rausch, Lisa Rinna, and Eric Nam for a game of lies and deceit. The new iteration marks the first of its kind for the U.S. version of the worldwide phenomenon, as Season 1 welcomed a mix of celebs and civilians and Seasons 2-4 were purely for those already in the public eye.
Among the 22 players entering Cumming’s castle this fall are Americans from all corners of the States, all walks of life, and all ages, including a cowboy from Texas, a Doctor from Oklahoma, a former NFL cheerleader from Mississippi, and a lawyer from NYC. Some fans also quickly noted that former MLB player and current sports broadcaster Xavier Scruggs is playing this round of the game, which could help or hurt his chances of finding allies and going all the way to the end.
