Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs out of solitary confinement after prison fight pushed back release date

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been released from solitary confinement following his prison fight at New Jersey’s Fort Dix Federal Correctional Institution, TMZ reports.

“For privacy, safety, and security reasons, we do not release information regarding the conditions of confinement for any inmate, including housing assignments, nor do we discuss whether a particular inmate is the subject of allegations, investigations, or sanctions,” the Federal Bureau of Prisons said in a statement to Page Six on Thursday.

Combs’ rep had no comment.

Combs, 56, was tossed into solitary confinement after he had an altercation with another inmate last month.

The disgraced music mogul felt dissed and took “matters into his own hands,” which led to the two men pushing each other, TMZ reported on July 24.

Combs reportedly “held his own” during the fight, an insider alleged, before prison staff members separated the two and broke up the fight.

Combs’ release date got moved up by one month from Feb. 23, 2028, to Jan. 24, 2028, following the brawl.

But on Aug. 4, Page Six confirmed with the Federal Bureau of Prisons that Combs’ release date got pushed back again to Feb. 20, 2028.

Combs — who is currently serving a four-year sentence at the New Jersey prison for prostitution-related charges — has had his release date changed multiple times.

His initial May 8, 2028, release date was pushed to June 4, 2028, in November 2025 after he allegedly violated multiple prison rules.

The Grammy Award winner allegedly got busted for drinking “homemade alcohol” and participating in a three-way phone call, which is prohibited.

His release date was subsequently moved up again and set for Feb. 23, 2028, before the prison fight.

In July 2025, Combs was found guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, for which he faced 20 years in prison.

He was acquitted of sex trafficking and racketeering charges, which could have resulted in life behind bars. Combs’ sentence, which was handed down in October 2025, also included a fine of $500,000 and mandatory participation in programs for his mental health and substance abuse issues.

He filed to appeal his sentence back in December.
