Dodgers placing Edwin Diaz back on injured list amid nightmare season

The Los Angeles Dodgers are placing closer Edwin Diaz on the injured list.
This marks the second time Diaz has landed on the IL this season.
The Dodgers closer allowed three runs on four hits in Monday’s game against the Colorado Rockies. Diaz entered the game with a nine-run lead.
Diaz is sporting a 11.85 ERA this season. The All-Star reliever previously spent three months on the IL after undergoing surgery to repair loose bodies in his elbow.
