Caitlin Clark has heated moment with Paige Bueckers: ‘Calm down’
Things got chippy between Fever guard Caitlin Clark and Wings guard Paige Bueckers on Thursday night.
Dallas led Indiana by two points with 10 seconds left in the second quarter when Bueckers, who was guarding Clark, appeared to grab her left arm in an attempt to foul her as the Wings had a foul to give.
Bueckers wasn’t immediately whistled and the pair got tangled up, with Clark flailing her arms before tossing the ball.
Clark appeared to being arguing the call with a referee and lip-readers think Bueckers responded by saying, “Calm down,” while she extended her arm.
Bueckers was whistled for a common foul on the play.
She later received a technical foul after arguing with an official following a separate foul on Clark in the third quarter.
The Wings bounced back to beat the Fever 91-85 in Dallas after a 98-87 loss to Indiana on the road last Friday.
Both former No. 1 picks struggled offensively.
Clark shot just 4-of-15 from the floor for 10 points to go with nine assists.

Bueckers finished with 13 points on 5-of-16 shooting from the field and 0-of-2 from deep, adding eight assists and six rebounds.
Wings guard Arike Ogunbowale tallied 32 points to pace the team.
The Fever play the Liberty on Saturday, while the Wings take on the Storm on Sunday.
Neither team has clinched a playoff spot, as of Friday.
