‘Magic in a bottle’ — $10 lotion said to help with cramps, but users saw another benefit
It looks a lot like a regular lotion — silky, creamy, hydrating and comfortable on the skin.
But users say the Solace Nighttime Magnesium Lotion offers more than just a soothing feel. Its formula contains magnesium and arnica, ingredients some experts believe may help support muscle relaxation and ease cramping, especially if you have a mineral deficiency.
On Amazon, a 5-ounce container is currently on sale for just $10. While the scientific evidence on the effectiveness of these ingredients is still pretty limited, fans of the lotion say it has become a go-to for everything from post-workout recovery to nighttime foot cramps and overall soreness.
“I have nerve damage in my left foot and have struggled with foot cramps off and on for most of my life (especially at night), but especially since the nerve damage,” one reviewer explained.
“This cream helps so much! I have observed a noticeable difference in the number of foot cramps since using it every night,” they added.
But cramp relief isn’t the only benefit reviewers are raving about. Others say the lotion also helps them unwind at night and has even improved their quality of sleep.
“It is for tired or stressed muscles,” another reviewer noted. “I put it on my back where I have pain and neck muscles before going to bed, and it helps me sleep better.”
More users echoed the same experience, saying they fell asleep faster and stayed asleep longer instead of spending the night tossing and turning. Others also pointed to the light lavender scent, saying it helps create a calming, relaxing atmosphere at bedtime.
