In terms of network television, Wednesdays tend to belong to reality TV. We have Big Brother on CBS, MasterChef on FOX, and, yep, you guessed it, America’s Got Talent on NBC!

We’re nearing the end of the road for Season 21 of AGT. The quarterfinals will run through September 8, with the semifinals scheduled for September 15 and 16. All of the action culminates with the finals, which will air on September 22 and 23.

Where Is Simon on AGT Tonight?

During last night’s episode, it was revealed that Simon Cowell would be missing the next few installments of America’s Got Talent.

“You noticed that Simon Cowell is not here,” host Terry Crews told viewers. “He’s having an operation that cannot be postponed. It’s not an emergency, but it can’t be put off. Simon, we are sending you our very best wishes for a speedy recovery, and we’re looking forward to seeing you back at the judges’ desk very soon.”

TMZ reports that Cowell will miss the “next couple of weeks” of episodes while he undergoes a routine back procedure. Get well soon, Simon!
