Prince Harry’s family member has 2-word reaction to the royal’s shocking UK return

Lady Eliza Spencer is the first royal family member to speak out on Prince Harry’s return to the United Kingdom.

When asked about the shock news regarding her cousin on Wednesday, the 34-year-old told The Mirror UK, “It’s exciting!”

Spencer, who is the daughter of Princess Diana’s brother Charles Spencer, added, “We would love to be able to find some time to visit.”

That same day, Harry, 41, landed in Birmingham with wife Meghan Markle and their two kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

They flew across the pond from Los Angeles on a private jet, with Page Six exclusively revealing the private plane set the couple back $12,000 per hour for the 10-hour flight.

The family of four have yet to make a public appearance since arriving in Harry’s homeland.

News broke last week that Harry’s family was relocating, six years after he and Markle, 45, quit their royal roles and fled England.

An insider told us at the time that King Charles III, who went public with his cancer diagnosis in February 2024, is the “real reason” behind Harry’s decision.

The monarch, 77, “looks forward” to spending time with his son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren, we hear.

Markle and Harry, notably, will not be working royals and will instead “continue with their business enterprises” while living in a “non-royal residence.”

The Duke of Sussex dropped a hint about the move last year.

In September 2025, the former military pilot chatted with Joss Stone at London’s WellChild Awards, on the heels of the singer’s move back to the UK from Tennessee.

“He was saying how wonderful the schools are here and how important community is for children,” Stone, 39, shared with Hello! magazine at the time. “It was nice to share that with him because it’s exactly why we felt drawn to come back.”

“He … asked about how we were settling back in,” she said, saying Harry seemed “genuinely interested” in the topic.

“Maybe Harry will move back too,” she speculated. “That would be nice.”

Harry and Markle have been living in a Montecito, Calif., mansion since 2020 — and are not selling their $14.5 million residence.
