Controversial “manosphere” influencer Andrew Tate’s lawyer claimed in court that his client’s bombastic, misogynist behavior portrayed online is just a persona — comparing him to Sacha Baron Cohen’s ridiculous “Ali G” character.

“That is not the real Andrew Tate, the person Andrew Tate,” his lawyer Howard Srebnick argued Thursday.

Andrew and his brother, Tristan, have been in federal custody in Miami since July 18, and are fighting extradition to the UK, where they face a slew of sexual assault and sex trafficking charges.

The brothers appeared in court shackled and clad in tan prison garb for a hearing in which their lawyer argued they should be sprung from lockup while awaiting their extradition hearing.

Their legal team has pulled out all the stops, attempting to argue that the brothers are not flight risks, including admitting in a sprawling legal document that their over-the-top displays of lavish wealth were all smoke and mirrors.
