Aaron Judge doesn’t plan on including a minor league stop in his Yankees return journey.

The Yankees slugger, sidelined by a right rib stress fracture since May 31, said Thursday he hopes to make his long-awaited comeback without a stint in the minors.

“I didn’t rehab in ‘23 when I missed probably the same amount of time,” he told reporters. “Why waste at-bats? Why waste anything down in a Minor League game? I’ve been doing this for a while now, and I’ve got a sense of what I need to do on the field and how to manage it.”

Judge took batting practice in an indoor cage on Monday, a step forward in the hitting program he began late last week.

While he’s yet to be cleared to face velocity, he’s not worried about it.

“I’m not really expecting it to take me too long to get the timing back,” he said.
