Matthew Stafford’s wife Kelly shares daughters’ honest take on Rams’ Tutu Atwell trade

The Los Angeles Rams reunited with wide receiver Tutu Atwell via trade on Thursday. While Rams quarterback and reigning NFL MVP Matthew Stafford will be excited about adding another target, it seems that his family might be even more thrilled about Atwell’s return than he is.

In the wake of Atwell’s trade to the Rams, Stafford’s wife, Kelly, reposted the a photo of Atwell to her Instagram story and wrote, “Ahhh!!! My girls are gonna be so excited 🥹🥹🥹🙌🙌🙌”.

Atwell spent the first five seasons of his NFL career with the Rams after being drafted by the team in the 2021 NFL Draft. While he never had a huge part in Los Angeles’ offense, Atwell clearly left a positive impact on Stafford’s family.

This isn’t the first time that Kelly Stafford mentioned her daughters’ affinity for Atwell.

When news of this broke that Atwell signed with the Dolphins in March, Kelly Stafford made an Instagram post that read, “One of the favs of my family, including my daughters…You will be missed, but so happy you’re going home @tutuatwell,” via her Instagram story.

Clearly Atwell made a good impression on Kelly and Matthew’s four daughters. Now that he’s back with the Rams, he’ll get to continue building his relationship with them and, most importantly, with their father.

This is especially true because star wide receiver Puka Nacua could still be suspended, which would create an opportunity for Atwell and made him a valuable part of the Rams’ offense until Nacua returns.
