Dozens deported to Haiti after gang attack leaves 47 dead

The U.S. deported more than 50 people to Haiti, including a professional boxer born in the Bahamas who said he had lived in the United States for more than 20 years. The flight, carrying two minors, arrived in Cap-Haitien because Haiti’s capital airport is considered too dangerous. It was the second deportation flight since Temporary Protected Status ended for some 350,000 Haitians in the U.S., following a flight that carried more than 160 people on August 20.
