Tua Tagovailoa, wife caught in apparent ‘burner’ situation amid nightmare training camp
Tua Tagovailoa is doing his best Kevin Durant burner impression.
The former Dolphins quarterback and current Falcons hopeful is being crushed on social media as he appears to have been caught using a burner account on social media.
Tagovailoa posted a set of pictures of himself on Instagram in his Falcons uniform, with a comment from himself (@tuaman) saying: “We’re so proud of you!! You got this.”
His entire post is loaded with comments poking fun at him for posting comments using a burner account.
“Tough scenes when QB1 has a burner, lfg [Jack] Strand,” one commenter posted on Instagram.
“Bro forgot to switch to his burner,” another said on the post.
The comment has since been switched to the account of his wife, Anna Tagovailoa.
It’s plausible that Anna controls his Instagram account and simply forgot to switch profiles when commenting on the post.
Though the internet seldom lets things go.
“He deleted the comment as if we didn’t screenshot it,” one commenter added.
Tagovailoa is in the midst of a nightmare training camp where nearly everyone expected him to be named the starting quarterback going into Week 1.
NFL Network reported, though, that his performance in training camp has made it “impossible” to name him the starter.
Tagovailoa was cut by the Dolphins following a poor season in 2025.
The Falcons are taking a long look at Michael Penix Jr., who is coming off a torn ACL, before naming a quarterback ahead of Week 1.
Atlanta opens the season on the road against the Steelers, and it remains a mystery whether Tagovailoa will be on the field for that contest.
