Manning in New York? Is CJ Carr a star? The ‘rocket ship’ talent? Jets draft fits for the obvious and sleeper college QBs
It is fair to wonder whether Saturdays will be more interesting than Sundays for Jets fans at some point this season.
The question of who the Jets might draft next April is going to be the most discussed topic among Jets fans all season. Maybe the 2026 Jets can keep fans’ interest for a little while, but at some point the focus will shift to 2027 and the No. 1 question will be who the Jets quarterback will be.
By now, you know the Jets are armed with three first-round picks and the 2027 quarterback class is projected to be one of the best ones we’ve seen in years.
The key word there is “projected.” We’ve seen how preseason draft projections go in recent years. Most fans had no idea who Fernando Mendoza was at this time last year and most people believed Arch Manning would go No. 1 in 2026.
