If you’ve been hanging on for the new Fall movie for the last four years, good news: Fall 2: Deadpoint, aka the Fall 2 movie, is opening in movie theaters this week.

Fall 2: Deadpoint is the sequel to the 2022 survival thriller Fall, which was a surprise box office hit about two best friends who find themselves stranded atop a 2,000 foot-tall tower. Fall 2: Deadpoint features a new cast, a new terrifying way-up-high situation. (Don’t watch these movie if you’re afraid of heights!)

Actress Harriet Slater stars as Jax Hunter, the older sister of one of the girls who lost her life in the first film. For some reason, Jax agrees to partake in a tribute to her sister that involves doing exactly the kind of idiotic climbing stunt that got her sister killed. Jax joins her sister’s friend Luce (Arsema Thomas) on a treacherous climb up Mount Kwan, a plank wall in Thailand. Unfortunately, a unexpected rockslide leaves them trapped at 3,000 feet in the air.

Also starring Tom Brittney and Grace Caroline Currey, who reprises her role from the first film, Fall 2 was written by Scott Mann (who directed the first film) and Jonathan Frank. The film was directed by Peter and Michael Spierig. If you want to truly be terrified of the drop, it’s probably best to watch this one on the big screen. For now, Fall 2: Deadpoint will only be available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens in theaters wide in the U.S. on Wednesday, September 2. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. Fall 2: Deadpoint is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.

Is Fall 2 movie Fall 2: Deadpoint streaming on Netflix or Amazon Prime?

Fall 2: Deadpoint is not streaming on Netflix right now, and likely will not stream on Netflix any time soon. Fall 2: Deadpoint is a Lionsgate release, and Lionsgate has an output deal with Amazon Prime and Starz, not Netflix.

You will be able to purchase Fall 2: Deadpoint on Amazon Prime Video, when the movie becomes available to buy and rent on digital.

You will also be able to stream Fall 2: Deadpoint on Prime for free eventually, thanks to the new deal between Lionsgate and Amazon that will send the 2026 Lionsgate movies to Amazon Prime for the “Pay 1” window, after the films play in theaters. The traditional “Pay 1” window is about four months, which would be around early January 2027 for Fall 2: Deadpoint.

Will the Fall 2026 movie Fall 2: Deadpoint be streaming on Starz?

You might see Fall 2: Deadpoint on Starz later this year, because it is a Lionsgate film, and Lionsgate extended its output deal with Starz, despite the fact the studios separated in 2025. Supposedly, under the new terms of the deal, Starz will have exclusive rights to Lionsgate films post-theaters, and that the window will now come sooner after the movie’s theatrical run.

It’s not clear if this deal will continue into 2026, now that Lionsgate deal with Amazon is kicking in. Some of the 2026 Lionsgate movies have gone to Starz, while others have gone to Prime. For example, the 2026 Lionsgate movie Michael began streaming on Starz on August 10, about four months after the movie opened in the theaters.

If Fall 2: Deadpoint follows the same release pattern, you might see the movie on Starz in about four months and some change, which would be around early January 2027.

Starz typically costs $11.99/month, but right now, you can subscribe via Amazon Prime Video and get your first two months for just $0.99/month.

That said, another 2026 Lionsgtate movie, Greenland 2: Migration, went to streaming on HBO Max four months after it opened in theaters, rather than Starz or Prime Video.

So, it seems not all 2026 Lionsgate movies are following the same release pattern. Right now, we don’t have a clear look at Lionsgate’s 2026 release strategy. If you want to see Fall 2: Deadpoint right away, you should go watch it in a movie theater.
