Rod Wave is looking up.

On Sept. 12, the inimitable Hip-Hop icon will take off on his long-awaited 2026 ‘Don’t Look Down Tour’ at arenas all over North America with special guest FRIDAYY in support of his recently-released seventh studio album that shares a name with the tour.

New Yorkers are in luck, too.

Midway through the nationwide run, the 28-year-old St. Petersburg native is scheduled to make a pair of stops at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. They’re slated to go down on:

Tuesday, Oct. 27
8:30 p.m.

Wednesday, Oct. 28
8:30 p.m.

At the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on seats for any one show was $73 including fees on StubHub.

Prices start at $94 including fees for the two Barclays Center gigs.

While we don’t know what the “Street Runner” will take to the stage this time — although we’d guess there’ll be a healthy helping of tracks from “Don’t Look Down” given the tour’s name — Set List FM indicates that Rod Wave often performed approximately 30 songs per performance on his 2025-26 ‘Redemption Experience.’

Just a few of the most noteworthy tracks to make their way to the stage included “25,” “Street Runner,” “Boyz Don’t Cry,” “Great Gatsby” and “Tombstone” among others.

And, while the hits are well and good, the main draw this go-round is his best-selling new record, which dropped on Aug. 28.

“[He] delves into stories of his come-up, varied experiences with special women in his life, a tribute to his mother, and shows off his deep appreciation for the R&B, pop, alternative and hip-hop genres,” Billboard noted in a review of the album. “He also tastefully samples some classic records from the 2000s and 2010s — with some unexpected, yet very welcome, choices of lifts.”

Rod Wave new music

On Aug. 28, Rod Wave released his seventh studio album “Don’t Look Down.”

It’s a soulful offering for the pop/trap/Hip-Hop troubadour that shows off his flow and pipes sometimes on the same track.

Standouts here include the bumpin’ yet emotional “I Am,” galvanizing epic “Hustle,” smooth yet sensitive “The Inspo,” twinkly nostalgic bop “2017 (Streamer U)” feat. Aimee Carty and ebullient, feel-good “Florida Boy.”

Our favorite here though has to be the Fray-sampling “Lost And Insecure,” which finds Rod Wave going harder than ever on the mic, dropping heavy rhymes with a bracing assuredness. It’s a cold dish of reality and hits like a ton of bricks.
