It is always a difficult task whittling down the NFL’s 50 Most Interesting. There are so many world-class stars, so many characters, coaches in the spotlight, so many under-the-radar fan favorites from which to choose.

It’s a quarterback-driven league, so the quarterback drives the 50 Most Interesting list yet again:

1. Patrick Mahomes, QB, Chiefs (2025: 14)

For so long he has been the face of the NFL, the one quarterback who would have a chance to chase down Tom Brady’s seven Super Bowl championships. Now he comes back nine months after tearing his ACL and LCL, and we wait and watch whether he can be Magic Mahomes again and revive the Chiefs dynasty.

2. Josh Allen, QB, Bills (12)

Jim Kelly got to four Super Bowls, only to lose all of them. This generation’s Kelly deserves to get to his first.
