Two people were fatally shot and two others wounded inside a suburban North Carolina home Thursday morning, authorities said.

Police swarmed a suburban street in Gastonia after a call came in about a shooting at 8:43 a.m., Gastonia Police told The Post.

Authorities discovered the four shooting victims inside the single-family, five-bedroom home and rapidly administered lifesaving measures until EMS crews arrived at 2661 Forbes Road.

Two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene, while the other two were rushed to CaroMont Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

All parties involved knew one another, Gaston police told The Post, characterizing the shooting as an isolated event.

It is unclear if the shooter was among the four people shot, but police said they have identified a person of interest — and added that there is no known threat to the Gastonia community.

Cops shut down the road Thursday morning and asked residents to clear it while they continued to investigate. Squad cars could be seen parked at the front of the house and lining the surrounding street.

“Gaston County Police detectives are actively investigating the incident. Residents are asked to avoid the area while investigators continue processing the scene,” the department said in a statement. 

The scene where the gunfire erupted is located near the Forbes Road-Highway 321 intersection, a few minutes away from the North Carolina-South Carolina border. 

The rural home, worth around $300,000, was roughly five miles from the bustling city of Gastonia.
